Not sure if this is what you want, but I add soft silky tofu to the blender, then the packet of vanilla shake, add about a cup of water and 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Blend until smooth. Great (for me anyway) for breakfast). Also, combine with the oatmeals to make a great bread, or eggs to make a great custard. PM if you want any of these. They are a staple at my house...
Just wondering does anyone heat their puddings? I found a little dipper crockpot hiding forgotten in my cupboard this morning, I currently have my soup in there. I have suddenly been struck by the urge for hot chocolate pudding, would heating it work??.
As to the vanilla puddings, I've been mixing mine with a sachet of true lemon, and a tblespoon full of Jok N Al lemon curd, mmmmmmmmm nice..
I put cinnamon in the vanilla pudding. Reminds me of pie! It's crazy delicious...
I tried imagining it was frosting and it wasn't! Ugggg..
I have added a small amount (tsp.) of sugar free jello - lemon flavor to change the taste.. though I find the vanilla pudding good it also enabled me to change the flavor a bit....
I always add pumpkin pie spice - close your eyes and it's pumpkin pie!..
Make the egg custard!!!.
1/4 cup egg white egg beaters (or one egg white).
1/2 cup water.
1 splenda.
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (I use amaretto SF syrup 1 teaspoon).
Mix well (in blender or magic bullet).
Pour into a bowl and micro on 70% power for 1.5 minutes.
Stir gently.
Micro on 70% for another minute or so without allowing it to overflow..
Let cool in Fridge for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon... nummy!!.
I love it with the vanilla pudding but a little more with the chocolate pudding...
Oh, we use it as a shake... add 1/2 cup water, mix well and refrigerate for a few hours. Pour into a blender cup with some sugar-free flavored syrup OR a sugar-free jello cup (Orange, raspberry, or black cherry), add a couple handfuls of ice and blend VERY well..
Don't let it sit... eat immediately with a spoon...
I liek it with a bit of sugar free raspberry syrup...
I may need to go buy some jello because that sounds ridiculously yummy!..
1 packet of True Lemon, short the water just a little bit and mix. Put in freezer for 20 minutes. Perfection.......
I made the custard recipe but I think I baked them too long. They came out tasting like french toast which isn't a bad thing. And I got rid of 2 puddings. I will try that recipe again but just baking them not as long...
Vanilla pudding is my number three most ordered item because of the versatility in shakes, ice cream - mock, and flavored puddings. Behind the dreaded Chix soup and Apple oatmeal I'm making mint pudding for Evening meal tonight using the vanilla..
Tsp. SF Peppermint syrup and a few cool mint capella drops. Not as good as the Lemon, but nice variety...
Vanilla Ice Cream by DBthreads (?) is the best. Be sure to use the almond extract. I think you'll be very pleased!..
