You are puzzled because you cannot tell he's tone from an e-mail. I personally cannot get to know someone without talking or seeing the person, but that's just me. I'm 29 years old and very old fashion. I think e-mail and texting is for flirting and BS-ing, not for getting to know someone. I want to hear the person's voice and the tone of certain things that is said. You have his phone # you should call him sometimes...
