I get the frozen ones from Schawan's food and use a spoon of them as my fat intake on "taco salads" that I make with the sloppy joe concoction or on the nacho crisps. I like the fact that I using the entire half of avocado before it goes bad...
I think I bought some frozen ones at Trader Joes too..
I know that you are in maintenance and not in in losing mode, but for your reference, the dietician recently posted in a thread titled "health drink" that 1/8 of an avocado would count as a fat serving...
That's why I said 400 calories for a whole one...

I was going to just try to cut and paste the parts about avocado, but this is a short thread and there is a lot of good info in it..
I've got some avocado purreed and frozen now and try to have it as one of my fats at least 5 times a week, I'm very sold on how good they are for you!.
There is a website link I posted for the best way to keep them in the frig and that website had a ton of other great suggestions for various things!.

This does work! And I love avocados, eat them regularly. But I use just a few thin slices (probably less than an 1/8th of an avocado) at a time on my low-fat swiss and veggie sandwich...my favorite lunch!..
Avocado's come in all sizes. Right now the small Hass are the best buy here in CA.
If you aren't comfortable with the 1/8 of the fruit measurement, 28 grams or about 1 oz of avocado (without the skin) is a standard fat serving for Nutrisystem or about 45 calories.
When I put them on my salad, I add them after tossing/serving so it's all on the top. Don't know why but this makes it seem like there's more...
Good tips. I am still really trying to figure out how to have a normal diet, that is not a pain in the ass to prepare, but also keeps me full and thin. But maybe just a little less huge salad and basically eating addins all day long..
