I believe the well on the sandwich maker is supposed to be shallow. Mine works great. It did seem to be too shallow to me when I first got it, but it isn't. Did you really toss it already, like after trying it? Cuz once you divide your mixture amoungst the 4 little wells and close it, it will cook up and puff up nice, plenty of room...
Isn't there a "well" in the top and bottom that allows space for puffing up?..
Be careful about brand names. I have one that I dearly love but the company is not very honest in their advertisements and very difficult to work with. I have had several run in's with them. I still Love the product but I won't recommend it to you because of their dishonest dealings...
My sandwich maker is not very deep, but it works great. For most recipes I use all 4 squares of it. This is the one I have:http://www.amazon.com/Proctor-Silex-.../dp/B001YI459O but mine was $10 at Wal-Mart...
Mine was the $10 one at Target too, and it does look shallow but works perfectly for the Medifast recipes, omelets, and my kids make sandwiches in it...
I bought the $10 one from Target yesterday to make CodyJo's recipes. OMG is all I have to say. I have used it for two meals already and I am hooked! The banana french toast is to die for! Can't wait to try some bread with the brocolli soup...
I saw the one at wally world, it's different than the target one, so for 10 bucks I will give it another shot. I did use the one I threw out but it didnt work... maybe it was me... I will give it another try, those recipes look sooo good and this time if I dont like the product I will return it.....
What I really want is this: Big Boss Grill.
It looks so much easier to clean - just throw the plates in the dishwasher...
I bought the Cuisenart one at Bed Bath and Beyond for $20.... it is great so far!..
Yeah, this is a big one! This is what happens otherwise:.
Still tasted good!..
