Congratulations on your success so far! 23 lbs is great!! Don't beat yourself up about the cashews. Just get back OP and remind yourself how bad you feel right now the next time you are tempted..
The next time you are feeling tempted try an OP snack, or just get up and get involved in something-clean something, read, come check the boards, go for a walk....
Again, don't beat yourself up, just move on and get back to the plan that has already brought you so much success in just 6 weeks!..
Thanks Ely! I needed a pep talk. I thought about buying some of the snack foods when I purchased my food for the week - but decided against it - next time I will get them!.
You are doing great as well!..
I haven't gotten any of the Medifast snacks yet either, but I do have some soy crisps on my next order. Non-MF (but still OP) snacks are:.
:: 3 celery stalks.
:: 1 fruit flavored sugar-free Popsicle.
:: 1/2 cup of sugar-free gelatin dessert, such as Jell-O.
:: up to 3 pieces of sugar-free gum or mints.
:: 2 dill pickle spears.

When something like that happens have a medifast meal right before bed so you go to sleep on plan and wake up on plan and start right over again.
You were doing so well, so get right back and stay on this time till you reach goal!..
Can you eat beef jerky and have it be the lean part of your lean and green?..
I don't know about the beef jerky - maybe it's a question for nutritional support?.
I just wanted to chime in about the soy crisps. I love the soy crisps - the white cheddar and ranch flavored ones got me through a lot of times when I might have otherwise cheated. Ditto for the multi-grain crackers with some light Laughing Cow cheese..
Now, it's problem been more than a month since I've had one of those snacks - but I always know they're in the cabinet waiting for me if I need them...
At the beginning of the week (Sunday), I cook up meat (chicken, beef and pork), weigh it and put it in individuals baggies with the weight on the outside of the baggie. Chicken breast is a 7 oz. bag. When I'm super hungry and I can't think of anything other than eating the house down, I eat 1 oz. of the lean protein out of one of the bags. I make sure that that is the bag I start with the next day.
Obviously, if you eat more than 1-2 oz. out of a bag, you should start with a new baggie the next day so you don't cut yourself short. Just a suggestion. Also, when I'm having a day when nothing seems to fill me up, I eat the following after supper. It is more filling, takes more time to eat and seems to satisfy the monster within.
1 packet pudding (any flavor).
1 - 1 1/2 cups ice.
3/4 cup cold water.
Blend all very well in a Magic Bullet, Ninja or blender.
It makes a very, very good LARGE bowl of ice cream. If you have any condiments left in your budget, sprinkle 1 packet of Splenda over the top before you begin eating. It will take you 30 minutes to eat it. It is such a large volume of "food", it will keep you full until you can get in bed and sleep through the munchies. I hope this helps...
