The best tip I can think of is to visit this board often. I come here quite a few times a day just to that reason (it also makes the time go by faster between meal...lol). Also, check out some self-help books on the subject of commitment and motivation..

Hello and welcome Musicalicios. Great nic btw! I strongly recommend the Beck Diet solution as a must read, especially for the issues you're describing. It's not as dry as it could be but you will have daily homework to do if you follow the book and do the exercises (which work, btw).
As far as Medifast is concerned, read the documentation you get. Understand the plan and how it works. Go here and download the pdfs so you have the key things at your fingertips like the veggie (green) list, the lean and meatless lists. I take them with me when I go shopping and plan my L&G meals for the week. Makes shopping easier if you know what to avoid. If you do your own grocery shopping, plan on perimeter shopping.
Most groceries have the fresh veg and meat on those outside walls. This helps keep you from temptation too.
Read the forums, especially the dietitian's area (they explain so much that you didn't even know to ask) and the medifast connection area. Then once you're settled in and comfy, head down to the clubhouse and find a team that seems to fit your style. Maybe even join in some of the challenges to help keep you on track and motivated.
