I agree with Undercover. I have to add that confidence is DEFINITELY my trick to getting noticed by a guy. (at least it was before I met my bf!) You might not be the smartest, interesting, pretty, skinniest, successful person in the roombut you should darn well act like it! Of course, not in a cocky way. Hold your head up high, walk with confidence, make eye contact. Men pick up on confidence and they also pick up on poor self-esteem. You've got to get the "plain and boring" mentality out of your head! Many, MANY men prefer a girl who can get dressed up and look great, but can dress down and be "plain" and feel just as good about herself. Men like a bit of a chase and a little mystery.
You have to know you ARE a catch, and you deserve to be treated like it!.
..
Can I suggest counseling for you? You have such a dim view of yourself and it appears you have some self esteem issues? Being in your 20's is tough especially when you have to go it single but I agree with the others that confidence is so important to attracting anyone in your life.I am a 50 year old woman never married and still holding out hope so I haven't given up yet you can't either...
"If you feel you are too ordinary and plain, you are probably right. So go out and find something to set you apart. Improve something you think you're not very good at."I understand what undercovercrab is saying here, but I'd like to refine it just a bit by saying find something you enjoy, something you love, that you can participate in regularly. When you do that, your natural specialness will come out. There's no helping it!For me, it's volunteering for the trails association, or going hiking, or walking the beach and poking at things with sticks, and school. When I'm involved in any of these things, not only do I get noticed more cause my happiness just shines through (I'm assuming it's that and not something hanging out of my nose, lol), but I don't care what people think of me because I'm just feeling this high, this groove.
We just made each other smile. A LOT! He was shining with happiness from things he was accomplishing, I was shining with the same kind of energy, the energies met, and voila! Things will pick up, I'm sure of it. Just get involved in something that makes you giggle..
