I don't find there's a lot that will substitute for a food treat craving. I do find, that with enough to keep me busy (even if it's something I dislike doing), I can ignore the craving longer and stay on plan. It sounds like you (and me) need to find other coping mechanisms for stress. At work, my best shot is to go find someone to talk to. At home hobbies, the internet, wrestling with Sadie anything that keeps me busy for a while..
Good luck....
Emma..
When you order again get the brownies. I got them two weeks ago. Thank god I ordered two boxes. They have been my food reward treat and so worth it. I put a little baking powder in it plus a little extra water. Let them sit for about 20 minutes before cooking.
I have been putting just a little low fat strawberry cream cheese on top. Next I am going to try lite whip cream topping. I know I read on the condiment sheet that is Ok. I count it as a healthy fat..
So good Brownies!..
I was in the store after work to get a few things, feeling irritable and miserable because things are difficult, and the theme from "Chariots of Fire" came on the store's speakers. It struck me as being so funny that it lightened my mood, and I've stayed on plan.
I'm going to look for more humor inspiration as a way to deal with stress...
I would get brownies or some soft serve for these types of days!..
When I'm feeling super hungry, I drink extra water and like Emma said, find things that keep me busy. Before I know it, time has gone by and it's time for another Medifast meal.
Brownies have become my favorite, too!..
