I've never heard of this stuff, where do you buy it?..
You know what?! What a legenedary idea! I'm so fed up with cracked scabby lips I'll try anything! I was also thinking aout trying sudocreme or whatever it's called. Off to the shops I go!! )..
It might just be a UK thing - that occured to me after I posted. Its like Savlon or any other antiseptic type cream that you put on cuts. It really works. I cant believe I never tried it earlier in my course!! Fab for the little splits in the corner. It heals them up so much quicker and in the meantime takes away that nasty sting that you get whilst trying to eat (and stops them splitting further)...
"It might just be a UK thing - that occured to me after I posted. Its like Savlon or any other antiseptic type cream that you put on cuts."Sounds like the U.S. equivalent of Neosporn. Thanks for explaining...
Probably because you're not supposed to ingest it, it could be poisonous, and licking lips is inevitable. but eh....
"probably because you're not supposed to ingest it, it could be poisonous, and licking lips is inevitable. but eh.."Well some people think Murad Resurgence is poison, and yet here we all are. In all seriousness, I've used neosporn when my lips get bad in the winter and I never had a problem. I think this was/is a great suggestion...
I don't understand why people don't just use aquaphor? It's all I ever had to use on my lips, and they were never once dry throughout my entire course as long as I kept it on...
Probably because you cant buy it everywhere! Its certainly not available in the UK and buying it online was way too expensive. Plus it doesnt work for everyone. I found nipple cream to be the best thing and from other reviews i've seen lots of people found this to work better. But I still had a problem with my lips cracking in the corners on occasions and they took ages to heal. I agree with the point about ingesting these things but I dont really think it can be good for you to ingest large amounts of lip balm in general. Aquaphor included.
A large reason for me using the nipple cream (Lasinoh, it's very good) was that in theory it should be ok to ingest as i'm sure residue from breastfeeding mothers using it on nipples would be ingested by their baby...
