I beleive it is currently freely available online, however proposals are being put in place to make ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine a controlled substance due to the fact that as Nick said people are buying large amounts of it to make Crystal Meth (ice)..

Both these substances (Eph and Pseudo-Eph) are contained in over the counter medicines..

Not sure if it will do much good trying to control it - you can after all buy up large amount of Codeine (again available over the counter...) and cook it for a Heroin like high (both Opiates...).

Back to BodyBuilding - are you after it as a fat burner...? There are other alternatives to Ephedrine, which has links to Heart Palpatations.....

Ephedrine IS a class C medication and so IS a controlled substance..

Pseudo-Ephedrine is about to be banned too for the same reasons as Ephedrine HCL..

This crystal-meth manufacture is one of the main reasons Eph HCL is banned, it is also being made into amphetemine which was the initial reason for banning it..

There is ephedrine available just now if you have a good source...
