Could it be that he thinks you will move on while he is away and so he wants to end it now so he doesn't get hurt or have expectations from you?  How long is he away?.

That would make sense, but he's only going to be gone for two weeks. But all this right til three days before he left he was all about when he get back it just going to be me and him. We're going here and there; doing all kinds of things...

When ever a post is titled like yours, I always think that is only up to you.  If you are okay with the reason he has to do time and you can put up with him chaning his mind about set plans, then stay.  I know I don't like it when I'm blown off.  I'd say at least keep your options open.  Just be sure to let this guy know what you're doing..

Some time as in jail?!!!!  What did he do and why didn't you know about it earlier? What else has he been keeping secret? Yes I say that's a great reason to SEROOUSLY look at getting out of this relationship.
