Sigh of relief...Thank you so much for your response. I guess that is the biggest reason why I like him so much. My ex-husband was only a year older than me and he was constantly acting like he was still sixteen. My new man is on the same page as me maturity wise and I like that allot. And I guess you are right...10 years is not that much difference when I am almost 30 myself.
Thanks again!..
No problem Anyways, don't worry, be happy! We are lucky to find anyone we can connect with. As you can read on this board, it can be so so difficult..
Oh p.s., no need to fast-forward yourself-30 is like, a whole 2 years away! I have to say, my favorite age is where I am right now heehee..
Ten years does not need to be insurmountable - it all depends on the two people involved.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the biggest thing for me is, the fear of getting hurt again. I thought the age difference was going to be a make or break kind of thing. You are right though, it has nothing to do with age, just who we are as individuals and a couple. We click so well together that most of the time when I am with him I don't really think about our ages...
Is this the same man you posted on another board that goes hunting for 2 weeks and you dont understand why a man would do that? If so thats just one reason he may be distancing himself from you..

Yeah that would be the same man! Not only is he the oldest man that I have ever dated, but he is also the first "country boy" I have ever dated. I don't know if you are into country music at all, but there is a song by Jason Micheal Karoll: Living our love song; it totally describes our relationship. The whole backwoods boy and the fairy tale princess thing. I know we both like each other a whole whole lot. We both have been really burned before, by our ex's. So we both have a bit of a commitment phobe, but we are working that out.
I feel sorry for my best-friend since she is his cousin, and I have been friends w/her since kindergarten. She tends to hear it from both of us, "does he/she really like me?" One day she confronted us both at the same time and told us we make a great couple, we both like each other; and just be happy. So we have been enjoying the times that we are together and living in the moment...
