Your question was: How to get rid of belly bulge during Nutrisystem?.
I do have weights here at the house and one of those kettle balls that I have seen on the biggest loseri may start using that as well.....i'm just worried about the whole water retention thing when you start lifting weights.....that my WI'S will start showing a gain...when it's not really a gain....if that makes sense...
Dana - My belly was the last area to begin shrinking and is always the first place I gain. (Seriously, my earlobes and feet lost faster than my mid-section did. I even asked the trainer at my gym if the workout routine she was helping me create would help with my abs or if I would end up with the most fit feet on the planet. ).
You might want to think about a combination strength training/abs/cardio workout. (The FIRM, Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, Turbo Jam, etc.) Check your library or on-demand from your cable company (or ask your friends if you can borrow one of theirs) if you would like to try some before investing in a workout DVD. There are some great "The Biggest Loser" workout DVD's too. You don't need a whole workout DVD collection to get results. 3 lb hand weights and a few exercises that work more than one muscle group at the same time will work wonders. You might not see the results in your mid-section as soon as you would like, but you will as your body fat percentage drops..
Don't sweat a little gain along the way. Look at the big picture and remember that little gain will be a drop in the bucket compared to how you'll feel at goal..
Good luck & keep moving! You're doing GREAT!..
Thanks vicki I atually have the 30 day shred dvdi could barely get through the 1st leveli'm not THAT out of shape, but doing circuit after circuit like that dvd is set up to do is a little hard for me. I may decide to give it another try and see how I do.
The gym is a little pricey for me at the moment, but I am hoping to get back in there...
That's part of the beauty of shred. Keep working and little by little your strength and endurance will improve and before you know it you'll be doing the whole level..
I have to do modified versions of the higher impact exercises from shred to protect my knee, but it's still my favorite go-to "I need to do something but I don't have time" workout...
Pilates Pilates Pilates. I swear by it for a pretty belly to back...
