Someone (maybe Prez or Pawp) suggested drinking Fruit2O and I think that helps. I've also been making the drinks with some Crystal Light Orange added to them. Other than that...I just miss the fruit..
Karen..
I'm not much of a fruit person, I guess it's all those years on Atkins. I like the Peach Oatmeal, if you let it sit a bit after you mix it and before you cook it, the peaches reconstitute much better and faster than the soups do, and they taste "real"...
I have been drinking a lot of fruit teas. They help me a lot. I buy from the web, at "Adagio Teas", and love the Blueberry, Wild Strawberry, and Pina Colada. They are really tastely, with lemon and splenda, alone, or with a shake of crystal light. I love fruit too - but these teas are helping me...
I like the walden farms strawberry spread... it had enough fruitiness to me that if I ever really get a fruit craving I can eat a tablespoon of it plain or put it in my vanilla shake or on a muffin.....
Walmarts brand apple crystal lite, it is so much like cider it is not funny, and the cranberry is fantastic. I found these by accident one day and I love them! They really taste like fruit juices, oh the other one I love is Crystal lites ruby red grapefruit. I always have some in the morning and I feel like I have had my fruit for the day!..
The Walden's fruit spreads in any flavor help me with my fruit cravings too. I top my pudding and oatmeal with them..
I put the orange spread in a sweet omelette made with some cinnamon, butter flavor and Splenda...
I have to second the herbal tea suggestion. I am a green tea drinker but I recently found Celestial Seasonings' Blueberry tea. It is wonderful hot and also over ice. I like it straight but you can add Splenda if you want...
You can add Capella flavored drops to your shakes or pudding. I have a strawberry cheesecake and an orange flavored ones. They add a fruity flavor...
Thanks for all of the good information! I love these boards!!!!..
I saw lot's of great idea's. (I used the Peach oatmeal in cookies this weekend and I could at least tell there was fruit bits in them...).
So far the SF Cherry Flavoring used in Vanilla shakes with lot's of ice is working for me, but the best is making Orange Shakes. I used Diet orange soda with a vanilla shake and enough crushed ice to turn it into a thick, thick shake. The first half I sip through a straw and the second half I use a spoon like Orange Sherbert. The flavor in the Diet Orange seems to be much stronger to me than any of the other things I've tried and it was very Fruitifying!.
Good luck!..
Ok. Silly question here.....when you use diet sodas in your shakes, what do you add to what? Do you add the soda to the shake powder or the shake powder to the soda?..
