The previous poster is right...but keep in mind a couple things.Do you know if he is in a relationship/married? This can be found out by talking with him more, striking up conversations or asking someone else. You do work together, is their a policy against dating (online dating with Match.com) fellow employees? Things can get ugly/uncomfortable when you date using Match.com someone you work with and it goes south...not only for you but your coworkers and your employer. Would it really be worth it?You have a crush on him, (which is the person he presents at work) but you really don't know what this guy is like away from work, he could be very different and they usually are...
Why don't you ask his advice about something? Guys love to be useful..

Yes. Friendship is a great basis for really getting to know and care for one another.

It can be difficult to work together and have a relationship (thru Match.com) - not saying not to go for it - many people meet in the workplace but do think thru what it will be like if the two of you break up, will there have to be constant contact all the time or are you on different floors, depts, etc?.
