My first question is: If I cancel my Match.com membership, will I get any money back?.

My next question is: Hellothere is a guy at work that I have had several good conversations with and also what I would call casual flirting. I have only talked to him or seen him a handful of times but I am leaving for a new job. I felt a connection (we already know each other pretty well from our conversations) so this past Friday (6/27) we were walking out to our cars I asked if I would see him again. He asked if I wanted to do something and I said sure. We exchanged numbers and now I am playing the waiting game. He is also a little socially shy I believe and may not have a lot of confidence with girls (though I could be wrong). Is there a time I should expect to call him by if he is interested? Also, I do have his number as well and if I don't hear from him I will try to call once (I think this guy is worth trying for).

Any suggestions or advice??? I really like this guy. Thanks!!!..

Generally, the sooner the guy calls you the better and it would be expected that he make the first move. However, if you feel comfortable inviting him out for the July 4th then do it...

If you "should" a guy to death, you're gonna be unhappy. Throw out the 'rules,' guidelines, whatever, and always remain true to yourself while keeping your own best interest in mind. That will turn some people off (the wrong ones) and turn others on (the right ones). End of story.I like the idea of giving it 'til Tuesday (sidetrack: just saw Aimee Mann in concert!) and then you call to invite to the fireworks show. In fact, I love that idea.Best of luck!.

Yup, I like what Sandra said. Throw out the rules and FOLLOW YOUR HEART. If you want to call him first, make the ADULT decision to do so. It's really not that big of a deal, unless you make it one. If your hunch is true that he's NOT very socially savvy, then it would boost his ego to have you call first.

CALL HIM!!! Don't call two or three times, call him once, and make it VERY brief, "hi, I was going to go to a fireworks 'to do' and thought I'd ask if you'd like to join me. Let me know." It's simple and TO THE POINT..

This is very early on in the game. Typically the guy would call if he was really interested. You already prodded him to exchange numbers, which he was willing to do. If you think he is that shy I don't see why you wouldn't prod him again and see if he wants to hang out. After that I would leave it alone. It would definitely be his turn to pick up the ball and do some work. .

Try to send out some I'm interested in a relationship (thru Match.com) vibes and notice how he responds. Those are major indicators. .

Don't worry if it doesn't work out. There are so many good guys at every corner!.
