No popcorn, this is a carb restricted food plan. What's in the guide is it. Perhaps you need to examine why you think you need a snack? You're eating every 2-3 hours. Are you really truly physically hungry or is it mental hunger? If it's mental, go for a walk, a bath or something else to keep your mind occupied. If it's physical, are you drinking all your water? have you tried splitting your L&G into 2 meals (healthy fat goes all in one shot if you do this)?..
I really try and ONLY have a snack if I absolutely need it. This usually occurs during TOM and I limit myself to pickle spears. Dessert is the biggest habit I am trying to break but snacking comes in a close second. The only approved snacks are what is listed in the guide. Sometimes folks post specific items to Nutrisystem with all the nutrition facts listed and I have seen Nutrisystem approve other snacks. Not too often though...
If you divide your "green" portion, you can have 2 green servings with your lean and still have a green serving left for a snack. My favorite is sliced cucumber or green peppers.
Or have one green portion with your lean and have a small salad at a different time...
Make some tasty shakes - I didn't touch shakes until month 4 and I'm sorry I waited. Lots of recipes. I love them as a great and filling treat. A simple one is Fanta Orange Zero; vanilla shake mix (I like diabetic for less carbs and less of a sweet taste); 1.5 cup crushed ice and blend...
I really like the white cheddar soy crisps from Medifast..
I have one every day as my snack unless I have the puffs/pretzels...
I like the Medifast Apple Cinnamon Soy Crisps snack. You can also have 1/2 SF Jello...
Way to go ladies on encouraging snack ideas! Sometimes you just need a snack because you're hungrier one day or another. Some days no problem at all. I like the idea of saving one of the greens for a snack - I hadn't thought of that before and will now keep it in mind. Usually, my fave is either the SF popsicle or SF jello. Not every day of course...
On really hungry days I take one of my greens and two fat servings (as I usually eat out of the leanest meat catagory) to make Medifast stuffed celery!.
1Tbsp of reg cream cheese= 1 HF.
5 green olives= 1 HF.
1/2 cup of celery= 1 Green.
*also if you want you can use 1 tbsp of low fat cream cheese instead of the regular and this counts as a condiment instead of a fat*..
