I know i'm not too far into my treatment (only a month and a half in), but my dermatologist is surprised at my lack of dry skin. during my first month, I was on 40mg/day. my lips, nose and eyes got dry; but my skin was fine. because I wasn't seeing any improvement with my acne and he said he'd "like to see [me] drier," he upped me to 60mg/day for month two. 3 weeks into month two, I am still not seeing any more drying other than on my lips, nose and dry eyes. however, my acne seems to be getting WORSE.

I used to only get that type of acne on my face every once in awhile. now it seems that a new one crops up every few days.i am using aquaphor on my lips and eyedrops in my eyes. i'm still using my salicylic acid acne wash and occasional 10% BP spot treatment for the large, painful acne that is cropping up (though I don't think it does anything).any comments?ps. I am 95lbs..

My skin didnt get dry until about the 4th month..

Yeah my skin is not soo dry neither nd I'm at the end of my 3rd month on Murad Resurgence,my lips are dry tho but it's not as bad..

Whoa...you're on 60mg and you only weigh 95lbs? Your dermatologist must be a lot braver than mine! With regards to the dry skin, I didn't get particularly dry during my course. If your lips, eyes, and nose are dry, then it must be doing something. As long as you take the Murad Resurgence with a fatty meal, it should be able to work just fine...

I am on my 6th month (1 month of 40 mgs, 3 months of 80 mgs, and 2 months of an alternating 40 and 80) and my skin isn't dry at all....my acne has cleared up some, but I still have breakouts occasionally. I weigh 117.the medicine usually affects everyone differently, so you probably shouldn't be too concerned...

I'm half way through month 3..and my skin isn't dry what so ever either. I'm 118 pounds and I'm on 60mg.....my skin isnt sensitive either. I've been able to tan with no issues...and my skin isn't overly dry what so ever. I was never tooo oily. My skin is just the same...
