What does the diet coke do when cooked with the roast?..

First and foremost, it's a tenderizer, but it gives it a nice flavor too (not too sweet). Pre-MF, I used to throw a shot of bourbon in there with the Diet Coke. I like to cook roasts and steaks this way.....

I'm going to try that roast and diet coke idea. That sounds good to me with some mashed cauliflower or steamed cabbage!..
