Your question was: Lunch bars good for Nutrisystem?.
I also love those very same bars. I received an order last week and everything looks great. I don't know how many hours that shipment sat at the front door, (we were both at work) but the bars survived perfectly...
Zone perfect fudge graham bars are very close to the Nutrisystem bars (taste like smores). I got a good deal at Costco, $14 on sale, for a box of fudge graham and a box of peanut butter..
I haven't found a caramel bar replacement yet but the zone perfect dark chocolate bars are good, balance gold chocolate mint, and the Luna bars are good (not as high in protein)..
Jen..
I agree, the bars are pretty good. Are we really suppose to add the vegetables, proteins etc. or is the bar the "complete" lunch?..
Yes, you are. Regardless of which Nutrisystem entree you choose, you add a dairy/protein serving and 2 vegetable servings...
The bar is ONLY your meal or entree replacement. It is not a complete meal, just as if you were eating an Nutrisystem bar..
Jen..
The bar is only replace for the lunch entre, you still need to add all the add ins...
Here is a site that exchanges all Nutrisystem foods. I keep it bookmarked in case I ever run out before an AD order arrives..
That site compares food to NS. Not all the entries there compare favorably though...
The Luna bars look really close stat wise to the average n/s lunch....but way lower in sodium. I think I'll buy some of them after month 3...which will be my last month on n/s...
My bars were in a soft state after sitting on the brick porch also, however, the bars are foil inside the wrapper and that is why they are not destroyed. They bounce back and are not stuck to the wrapper after they become cooled off..
I have not had to discard one item, or had it not look like it is supposed to..
NS had the thinking cap on when they designed the package. Thanks Nutrisystem you rock and so does the food..
I like the Luna bars and just got some of the Zone Perfect dark chocolate almond (I think CyberSally recommended them...) - they are YUMMY!..
