I was super oily before Murad Resurgence. I was constantly blotting oil throughout the day. But now, my skin is really dry, no oil at all. I know it's hard to imagine buying anything other than oil-free, but trust me you will crave moisture because your skin will be so tight and dry. I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation, and Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF. I usually have to do two coats of moisturizer before I put my makeup on though.
It just helps to keep my skin from being so flaky under the makeup. It might take a few tries to find a combo that works well for you, but it is possible. Good luck!..
I use Mac Studio Fix Fluid as well and it's awesome!!! I also have to moisturize twice before putting my foundation on and my face lived oily before Murad Resurgence. U use Aveeda with SPF 15 in it.Good luck to you!..
So, this MAC Studio Fix Fluid seems to be pretty popular. Why do you like it? Does it have good coverage? Because I've found that the Laura Mercier has about medium coverage, and from the sounds of it during/after my initial breakout I may need something more.....
It does have really good coverage and stays on all day. I'm a dental hygienist and wear a mask all day at work, and this foundation still holds up and looks great at the end of the day. Most brands I've tried just don't have the coverage or the staying power of this stuff. It's not outrageously expensive either. I think it's around $26. I highly recommend all of the MAC cosmetics.
They also have a recycling program called Back to MAC where if you bring in 6 empty containers of any of their products, you get a free lipstick. The lipsticks usually cost $14, so it's nice to get one free for just bringing in stuff you'd normally just throw away...
Okay, I think I need to head to MAC and figure out which color to buy.Although I'm so embarrassed by the way my face looks right now, it's tempting to just go online and guess. This is another reason I'm going on Murad Resurgence I hate feeling embarrassed going shopping, boo...
I know what you mean. I've felt the same way too. I'd just go and do it. I'm sure the girls at the counter see all types of skin. Besides, they don't know you. So who cares what they think? It'd be pretty hard to guess your color online because they have so many levels and categories.
It'll look even more ridiculous than the acne. Just go for it girl!..
I used everyday minerals the duration of my 5 month treatment. It works great, very subtle but covering...
MAC studio fix has a tendency to break people out. There are a couple of people that have broken out from using it even when they are not taking Murad Resurgence. I suggest that you go to the MAC counter and ask for samples first before purchasing to see how it works out...
I haven't personally had any problems with the Studio Fix breaking me out. It's claimed to be oil-free and non-comedogenic. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to see if you can get a sample to try though, just in case...
