Hey there!.
My favorite L&G is 3 cups of lettuce and 2 cups (measured while frozen) heated Morningstar Farms (MSF) Veggie Crumbles with 1 T of Newman's Own Family Recipe Italian. It probably sounds boring but I love it!.
One thing I also liked was to split my Lean 3 ways between Egg Beaters, low fat swiss (Jarlsberg lite), and MSF breakfast sausage (use 1/3 of each serving size). Mix them up and bake in the oven at 350 for maybe 10-15 minutes (or until it's done!). Really yummy..
I tried the cookies/breads a couple of times but really, trying to keep track of all the extra condiments (because you need to count the extra ingredients!) is just not on my radar. I like to have a stick of gum or a Crystal lite instead.
Hope your first day was excellent, RoxyO! Great job on Day 3, litenme!..
Hello everyone! Serafina, that egg/veggie bake sounds great. What amounts do you use?.
I always envy the posters who have recipes for meringue pie using Medifast stuff, but I'm not that motivated! I am a creature of habit- a huge organic salad with garlic vinaigrette and Grillers Prime. I'm boring!..
Hey, courtneye!.
So, 1/3 a serving of egg beaters is 2/3 a cup, 1/3 a serving of msf sausage is 1 patty, and 1/3 serving of moderate fat cheese is 1+1/3 oz cheese. Mix these ingredients together, spray a pan with Pam and there you go!.
Since they come from different "Lean" groups, you will need to add 1 healthy fat to this meal, so maybe a salad with some dressing? Or a stir fry in olive oil?.
Enjoy!..
Thanks, Jeannette! I was browsing through the recipe thread, and I don't remember where I saw the meringue recipe- I'm sorry! It was several pages deep and I forgot. I'm not a gourmet by any means, so I like to keep Medifast as simple as possible. That way my eating habits wil **hopefully** stay the same!..
I am a meat eater, but since being on Medifast I tend to eat more meatles lean and green meals. I have browsed the recipe blog and found a couple that are great... The cauliflower pizza is the bomb... My favorite thing.... Broccoli casserole.... Yummy...
Yummy.... Cauliflower casserole..... also very good..... Browse the recipe boards you will find some good ones. Also I have seen a lot of the recipes come from low carb websites....
This weekend I found a great salad, On Plan that I would like to share, Loved it!.
Cottage cheese Salad.
On a bed of shredded lettuce, put one cup of 1% low fat Cottage cheese. Springle with Paprika. Add some green onion, and small diced tomatoes. I got mine with a teaspoon of blue cheese dressing. It tasted excellent... Not only is it easy to make at home but this is an easy request of most restaurants who are willing to work with you a bit. Enjoy...
