Hey, Rodinia. I'll be your first partner! My name is Suzanne and I am 54 years old. I'm a single mom who lives in Miami, FL, where EVERYONE is skinny (well, most everyone). I've always been a bit overweight (since age 9) and have never done those other diets (Jenny, Nutri...) but when I hit 200 lbs 3 months ago, a very good girlfriend told me her sister-in-law had lost tons of weight on MF. She had several samples she had gotten from her sister-in-law, and gave them to me to try since she wasn't using them. Within a day I had gone online and ordered a month's worth of food.
To date, I have lost 19 lbs. I started my ticker at 200 lbs, even though I was actually 205 when I began the diet. I started walking again and walk 3 miles in 1 hr, at least 3 times a week. I'm figuring I'm doing better than those gals who lose 5 and 7 a week because, hopefully, mine will stay off. I have a lot more to go, but I plan to continue this Medifast journey! I am NOT a Medifast coach or anything like that, so you won't get preaching from me.
This is the first forum I have responded to although I have perused several discussions!..
Hi Suzanne. I would love to exchange e-mail with you. I tried to send you a private message, but for some reason it wouldn't go through. My e-mail address isCan you write to me there and send me your private e-mail address please?..
Hey Rodinia. I lost 45lbs on Medifast 5 years ago and kept it off for 3 then like you said life happened and I put it back on again. Here I go again but this time I know from experience that I can do it. We have that experience going for us and that should help pull us through the times that are a struggle. We just have to remember we are older now and the weight may not come off asnfast but it will happen. Feel free to send me a message ant time...
Thanks Bailey. Please feel free to e-mail at the address I posted above. I'm looking for a couple people to share inspiration and success. Would love to hear from you. How long have you been doing the Medifast this time?..
I also am restarting my diet. I lost 40lbs and managed to gain it back due to the doctor prescribing meds with steroids. I am finally off of them but gained 50 lbs back due to the longevity of being on the prescriptions. I officially started over today and look forward to meeting other people. I began medifast at a center and many times I felt like I was being lectured rather than inspired. I found this website during my last journey, and it helped inspire me and stick to the diet. Once I realized I could make other things with the meals I just soared...
