The orange marmalade has an orange oil type of aftertaste. Depends on what you are eating it with. Reminds me of biting into an orange to peel it.
Not bad, just a bit of a surprize. Your taste buds may vary.
Gwen..
Oh...I just checked out the Walden Farms site.....I long for fruit. I ate an apple every night watching the news. I'm ordering the Apple Butter, mix it into my vanilla pudding? Not the same, but apple-y. Thanks for the heads up ...
I really like the Walden Farms fruit spreads. A lot. Great on muffins. They are the best thing when you crave jelly or jam. I bought strawberry and raspberry but want to get some more. Someone (Lydiaa?) came up with the idea to use the Apricot flavor as a glaze on chicken breasts.
Let me know how the other flavors are. XOXOXO Oh yeah, and sometimes I nuke the stuff (has a very stiff consistency like cranberry sauce) and drizzle it on cookies, brownies or muffins. Enjoy...
I am just trying the raspberry and grape for the first time. They are a real pleasure - munching with a Medifast hot out of the oven cookie!..
I used the raspberry as a substitue for cranberries at thankgiving. It worked really well. Same texture and tanginess as the jelled cranberry sause. Orange Blood is the one who came up with that. Thanks OrangeBlood. I love Walden Farms...
Yep. I love 'em.
My local Fruitiful Yield will special order all of their products. (I love the onion dip too.).
I use the fruitspread to make dressing: 1 add 1/2 T of Fruitspread ( I like the orange.) to 1 tsp flaxseed or olive oil and thin with a little water.
Also, great to add to shakes but 1 TB counts as a snack...
You guys are turning me into a mail-order junkie! I just ordered. That orange salad dressing sounds good, too. I ordered apricot, so I'll try it with that...
