My boyfriend of a year and a half, shocked me when I gave home from vacation.  He told me three things: 1.  He doesn't think he is in love with me anymore, 2.  He looked at apartments while I was gone, 3.  He got his deposit back on the engagement ring we had picked out.  When you told me all of this, I was surprised because we never fight and other than adjusting to living together we don't have any problems.  I told him I was committed to our relationship (thru Match.com) and I was willing to try to work out any issues.  I explained to him that we had two choices, we could both commit to trying or we could break up.  He said he didn't think trying would change how he feels.  I said ok, then we have to break up.  I asked him to stay with friends until he could get a new place.  He seemed very surprised by this because he thought I would let him stay on the couch in my home until he could find something else.  I told him that wasn't appropriate. .

It has now been two weeks and he still doesn't have a new apartment.  He wants to come over and pick up more of his clothes.  Can I tell him it is too soon for me to see him?  Can I pack his things and tell him I will leave them at the front desk?  I just don't want to be here when he packs up his things.  It will be too hard for me.  Especially because he is acting like we were never more than roommates..
