Your question was: Nutrisystem comparable meals?.
Quaker weight control oatmeal is comparable to Nutrisystem oatmeal..
Special K granola is close to Nutrisystem (I eat less than the serving size so that it's about 150-160 calories).
Special K protein plus works as a breakfast sub..
Here are the meal averages which might help:.
If you are preparing your own food here are the average values of the Advanced foods as of August, 2009:.
Breakfasts: 155 calories, 2.3 g fat, 26 g carb, 8.2 g protein, 180 mg sodium.
Lunches: 176 calories, 3.2 g fat, 27 g carb, 8.2 g protein, 493 mg sodium.
Dinners: 231 calories, 5.9 g fat, 27 g carb, 17 g protein, 620 mg sodium.
Desserts: 142 calories, 5 g fat, 16 g carb, 8 g protein, 160 mg sodium..
For simplicity, I aim for a nominal 150 for dessert and breakfast estimation. 200 for lunch and 250 for dinner. Just easier for me to remember. At 230, the extra couple calories on the estimate does not matter (and realize that even within NS, there are a spread of values).
Eat big salads, eat big salads, eat big salads...
Thanks for posting this!! I was looking for it when I had my first adventure eating out while on the program...
Thanks for all of the comments! It was actually pretty cool to look through the different choices of food for similar foods. I found some great options. Newman's Own Soy chips have 9 grams of protein. Kashi has a cereal with 9 grams of protein. It's pretty exciting!..
I eat eggbeaters loaded up with veggies topped with salsa and a piece of double protein bread with ICBINB- fills me up!..
I've also found that some Fiber One cereals (not all, but some) fit the bill for breakfast entrees. Kashi also has some great breakfast granola bars that have good fiber and protein stats and fill you up (with your regular add ins). The Quaker oatmeal for weight control is a great option, too. I like to have the maple brown sugar and mix in a little extra sugar-free maple syrup for a punch of flavor. I tend to eat breakfast at the office, and that combo makes most of my coworkers' mouths water!..
