Oh Ferrell:.
That sounds so good!! I like that you used the PB SF Syrup instead of real PB.
I am ordering a bottle of that tonight so I can try this recipeLet us know how they turned out!!..
Farrell: WhoopsSorry for misspelling your name earlier.
How did these turn out? I placed an order for some SF PB syrup last night, as well as some flavor drops from capella coffee, and that got me to wondering.....
I know this wouldn't taste very good in coffee....but for us Medifasters...would it be too far fetched to ask Capella about PB flavored drops ? for that matter, just butter or cheese flavored? ? hmmmm...
Susan..
Susan, Capella's is pretty open to all suggestions. It never hurts to ask. They are very easy to communicate with and are the closest thing to real customer service I've seen in a long time...
I tried these earlier, and something has gone terribly wrong. I must have done something in error, because they just tasted really salty. Like the baking soda/powder taste overwhelmed everything else. The texture was right though. Usually my stuff comes out good, but this has been my week of recipe disasters...
Capella coffee is supposed to be coming out with the PB/PB Chocolate drops in January (per a conversation Bettina had with the owner)..
Um, as for the taste... I should have just eaten the batter. I may try them again and skip the baking soda. Will let you all know!..
Jewelspet, they were not so great. Next time I will just eat the batter. I'm going to try them again, leaving out the baking soda. That might have been the problem...
Has anyone tried choc. cookies w/ the choc. pudding??.
Thanks for reply..
In making cookies, I think it's best to just use the 1/4 tsp baking powder. That's what I did last night and they were okay. I made peanut butter banana ones, Maple brown sugar oatmeal/banana shake, 1/4 tsp baking powder-mix together, oh yeah and 1 tbl flax seed (hee hee), optional, then add two tbl peanut butter SF syrup (could use something else) and water to make 1/4 cup (I think, I have a bad habit of not measuring properly when I cook), and a tbl peanut butter, mix together, drop onto pammed cookie sheet and bake about 375 for 15 or so minutes. Could do this w/choc shake and use splenda instead of PB syrup-could add vanilla or other flavor. It works. They were okay, not spectacular, but then they are diet cookies, right? I have the other half to eat tonight, I'm betting they taste better the second day.
Guess the crunchy peanut butter would have helped.....
