Your question was: Peanut butter on Nutrisystem.
1 tsp. just doesn't cut it. If you haven't already tried it, check out PB2. Check out the thread for it under this same forum. You get more!!!!..
That is what I do and it keeps me PB happy...
Check the nutritional info on your brand of PB. You can eat 45 cals and 5 gr. fat as a fat serving. For Smart Balance, this is 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter. I eat it off the spoon nearly every day..
Jen..
Now you're talkin. My FAVORITE way to eat peanut butter is straight off the spoon!!..
A little marshmellow flush combined on that spoon with the PB...oh the memories...
I have teaspoon of PB with an apple almost every afternoon for snack...
I do too....that serving size really isn't enough. That's why I don't even keep it in the house anymore. I KNOW I'd go crazy if I did. 1 Tsp would turn into 2, then 3, then 4, and so on. I cheated a while back and had a PB sandwich...it helped kill my nagging craving for it...
I have a tsp. of peanut butter every night; licked right off the spoon...
Check out the updated PB2 stats. A double serving (which is 4 Tbsp) now fits the Nutrisystem stats as a protein serving! Yippee...
I eat my fruit in the morning with 1 tsp. pbutter everyday! It's my fat for the day but it holds me over until lunchtime...
I love pb too that's why I ordered PB2 (lol). If I do eat regular peanut butter, I save my 2 fat servings for the day and mix 2 tsp of peanut butter with a little sugar free cool whip. I slice a Nutrisystem fudge brownie in half and spread that pb/whip mixture in the middle. Then wrap it in wax paper and put it in the freezer for about an hour. I then have a great "ice cream" sandwich. Yummy!..
Thanks everyone for the great advice. 1 tsp. Thats realllyyy small, but it'll have to do wont it? I can have it with my fruit...
You really should try PB2! I use it on dessert and sometimes spread a thin layer of sugar free jam on top of the PB2awesome!..
I use the Smart Balance PB also. A half tablespoon spread on the double chocolate almond cookie is my favorite dessert!!..
I love peanut butter too. It's like cryptonite for me. I've found this great stuff called Better 'n Peanut Butter. It's only 100 calories and 2 grams of fat for 2 tablespoons. The consistency is a little looser than peanut butter, but throw it in the fridge and that helps. They even have a low sodium option..

Bill, how do you count the Better Than PB? It has too many calories and not enough fat for a fat serving. Does it have enough protein for a protein serving? If so, that would be great spread on a banana for an afternoon snack! Crossing my fingers on the protein count here!..
I hope the Nutrisystem gurus will hear this and make more peanut butter items. BTW does anyone know who makes (produces) Nutrisystem foods??..
Mix it in with whatever that substance in the "wraps" might be...couldn't possibly hurt the flavor of the wrap.
J/k.
Seriously, thinly spread the low fat PB on a slice of the small Pepperidge farms 97% fat free wheat bread. Close enough. That bread isn't high in fiber but it's pretty low in everything else and one of those small slices with less than 1/2 tsp of low fat PB can be easily adjusted for...
Good on you for getting rid of thing that will derail you. Till you find a good subsitaute for it...keep it out of the house...
OMG! I tried this tonight, and WOW! While it was in the freezer, I was licking the inside of the little bowl that I mixed the PB and cool whip in. This dessert is amazing! Thanks so much for the tip! I'm off to add more brownies to my next order...
