My first question is: Should I give match.com a chance?.

My next question is: On Thursday, (I'm 31 and he is 37) I went on a date using Match.com with a guy from online who seemed a bit of a better match than the usual (on paper). I haven't done this since last year. It ended up being two hours. He was there before I was. it was really easy to talk and we have common interests (music, movies, running). He wants to see me next week but I'm traveling which I didn't exactly say. During the date, he mentioned two different times that he would have to tell me more next time because I had mentioned I had an early morning.

I sent him a msg to tell him I enjoyed it and hope we can catch up soon. He responded that he felt the same and wished me a nice trip (also went away this weekend). So it was a good experience and we'll see. The ball is in his court now?..

I'm not sure. He wished you a nice trip. I think it would be courteous to contact him when you get back to say that you made it safe and sound..

I guess if you want to see it that way you can. whats the big deal. if i feel like calling someone or whatever then ill just do it. i do what i feel like doing. .

Yeah - I was going to do that but he actually contacted me this morning before I could. I am traveling this week starting tomorrow for work so we made a plan for next Wednesday...

Great! and you know what, while I'm away and I feel like calling him, I will! if I dont, then I wont! I think it's kind of immature to think about ball in who's court bec if x person really likes me, he should be haaaappy to hear from me. .

I agree. A casual email saying you had a great time, but good to be back and hope he's doing well is fine. The next move, if any, is up to him.

In the early stages of a relationship (thru Match.com) you do want the guy to do most of the asking but it doesn't mean you can't take some initiative too. But in your case glad it worked out.
