Check out shirataki noodles... they are noodles made from yam fiber and are allowed as part of the green of a lean and green. A good website is miraclenoodle .com. Artichoke noodles have as much carbs as regular wheat noodles and aren't permitted on program. There are lots of posts in regard to shirataki noodles including recipes in the recipe section of the board. Hope this helps..
Try Spaghetti Squash. If you haven't tried it, it's pretty good. Cut the squash in 1/2 and scoup out the seeds. Put it in a corningware dish insides down, cover with saran wrap and microwave for 8 -10 minutes..
The squash comes out in strings like spaghetti. You can put a little molly mcbutter on it and sauce. It would only count as a vegetable..

I asked Medifast if we could have spaghetti squash and they said no. Too many carbs I think it was awhile ago. Sorry Alison, I wish we could too cuz those shirataki noodles make me gag!..
Actually, spaghetti squash is approved there was just a thread about it on the ask the nutritionist site in the past week or so. So go for it & try the recipe...
You're right redsox! I just found the other thread. Now I'm gonna use my Walden Farms marinara sauce and have some spaghetti. I'm also gonna try it with a shrimp scampi recipe I found on page 10. Yay!..
I put my spaghetti sauce that I make over my cooked frozen vegetable mix, broccoli and cauliflower and squash mix. Very filling...
