Your question was: Tips on doing Nutrisystem diet for busy people?.
You can spread your foods out throughout the day (for example eat the breakfast entree after you get up and then the protein and fruit an hour or two later). The only hard and fast rule here is that you have to eat all the food (including add-ins) that is listed for your meal plan. It's also a good idea to eat fruit with a protein/dairy to avoid a jump in blood sugar (and insulin)...
I agree with the grazing. I travel a lot for work and work long hours. I eat pretty much all day long. I start with my Nutrisystem breakfast and a fruit. About an hour to 2 later I'll have my protein. Then in another hour I start in on 1 cup of baby carrots, etc., etc.
Don't forget to fit in your water too..
Another thing you can do is keep a bar with you in your bag in case you can't get to your add ins. You can move your food around throughout the day to work with your schedule..
And if you get in a jam (and I wouldn't do this often) my Nutrisystem counselor told me you can replace your afternoon snack with a Nutrisystem dessert/snack. You'll have extra calories but if you are in a jam this might help..
Good luck! With a bit of planning you CAN make this work...
Thanks for the input On day 3 and so far I've had a little trouble fitting in all the food but I'm managing. I'm sure (hope) that with time it will get easier..
Jenni: I do the same thing using a soft side cooler I got at WalMart. I pack it the night before with an ice pack; change out the pack in the morning and off to work I go. When I run out of food, I am done eating for the day. Mostly I have trouble eating all the food for the day..
You CAN do it!.
Sharon..
