Thanks, I really need to give the chili a try! I have plenty of it.....
I love the chili! I simmer it on the stove with about 2 times the water it calls for. I add chili powder, a dash of hot sauce and depending upon my condiment allowance, I'll add 2 T salsa. Mmmm!..
I add about a 1/4 cup of canned tomatoes, a dash of cumin and a splash of vinegar to mine. It is my favorite meal...
Thanks for the tips, I tried it and couldn't even swallow it. I'll try your tips!..
I add the water about and ounce more than it asks for and let it soak from breakfast to lunch or longer. I then cook it and add a wedge of laughing cow cheese and some hot sauce. Makes it creamy...
I really like the chili. I make it with hot water (less than the package calls for) and hot sauce the night before and let it soak until lunch the next day. When I'm ready to eat I warm it up in the micro and then mix it up with lettuce, cheese, salsa, and sometimes a couple sliced olives, for a taco salad. I was a little nervous to try it based on some of the reviews, but I'm really glad I did! I think I have 3 boxes scheduled for my next order...
I think I'll order some. I've been avoiding itbut I'm going to try it and do the soaking..
Thanks..
I love the chili......I add a little extra water, soak and then mix in chili powder and chopped tomato (1/2 cup)! It is one of my favorites!..
Mmmm, chili. By far one of my favorite meals. I soak with about double the water called for, add cumin, chili powder and about 1/4 diced tomatoes w/chiles. Cook for longer so it gets a nice thick consistency. So spicy, filling and great for a weekend lunch. Had some today actually. Yummy!..
I also love the chili. So much that I have had two back to back. When I have the chilie I like eating it the the Medifast snack crackers and 2 tbs of hot salsa. It is so good that I feel like I am cheating! So I don't have it often...
I prepare exactly to directions EXCEPT that I also add 1/2 cup of ROTEL Tomatoes (1 green per my Medifast counselor). I also let it steep covered for about 10 to 12 minutes (until the beans are "done"). It's awesome! The Rotel adds that much needed zing. I haven't been a fan of anything but the bars, shakes, oatmeal (only apple cinnamon) and brownies... now I'm a FAN of the chili! Enjoy!..
I'm alittle confused. I saw someone post that they use the Medifast chili for a taco salad. Isn't that 2 meals in one? I thought you have to eat Medifast meals every 2-3 hrs. Where is the protein part of the L & G? Clarification anyone???..
