I make a bread out of soup that I put in ziplock baggies. I make them on the weekend and eat throughout the week. Have fun on your trips!..
Can you please post the recipes for these breads and muffins...
I love taking muffins when I go on a trip. Here are the two muffins I make..
Oatmeal Muffins.
1 package of oatmeal (any kind).
1 package of scramble eggs.
1 package of vanilla pudding.
1 teaspoon of baking powder.
1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
1/2 cup water.
Mix all ingredients, spray 3 cupcake sections of a cupcake pan, divide the mix between the three sections. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. EACH MUFFIN IS ONE MEAL..
Mix, spray, and bake for Chocolate Muffins as for Oatmeal Muffins..
Chocolate Muffins.
1 package of brownie mix.
1 package of scramble eggs.
1 package of chocolate pudding.
1 teaspoon of baking soda.
1 tablespoon of Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup.
1/2 cup of water.
I found the Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup at my local grocery store. I hope you have a great trip...
My fave breads to make are any of the cream soups (or any other soup pulverized in a MB) mixed with 1/4 eggbeaters and about a TB of water, a little bit of spices if you want to (oregano, chili powder, dried chives, etc). If I cook in the oven, I will add 1/4 tsp of baking powder and separate into two to four pools on a greased cookie sheet and cook about 10 minutes on each side in a 350 oven.
An easier and IMHO better way to make them is in a small waffle iron. I have a two waffle sized maker and a recipe fills it perfectly. Spray the iron, spoon in the batter and smooth out and wait about a minute before closing, the bread will smoosh out of the iron more if you dont wait a little bit. As a warning DO NOT add baking powder to the bread if going in a waffle iron, it will EXPLODE out the sides.
I like to put an ounce or so of deli meat in between the two bread pieces and make a sandwich...
