Your question was: Tips on sticking with Nutrisystem during business trip?.
I have trouble with any travel - what works for me is to set mini goals - I buy a small memento for each day I stay on plan - spending the amount I would have spent on a non Nutrisystem meal or drinks - and look up places to see in the city as well as reading the Nutrisystem posts - keeping occupied with the pc instead of the menu.... best of luck..
Post here daily. hourly if needed. Get your workouts in.....
I agree- set rewards for certain goals..
Maybe hotel? has exercise room?..
You can do this, you are all prepared and have everything you need to stay on track, walk wherever you want to go if you can. We all know you can do it! Nancy..
Thanks TEAM NS! I'm doing it! All of it. Going for a walk now. I'm identifying that each time I've wanted to go eat/ drink it has been due to some sort of emotional need ( wishing I were home, bored, rewarding myself). Good to ask yourself why. Ok...going to walk before rain hits. Thanks again everyone. Knew I could count on you...
Way to go Amy - we knew you could do it!!!..
Something to keep in mind if you gain a little weight while on a business trip or vacation ... it comes right off after a couple of days back on your Nutrisystem plan. It must be water retention from saltier restaurant foods, or something like that.
I went on vacation for a week, followed by 4 days of a business trip. I was up over 5 pounds by the end of it, even though I curbed my alcohol intake, went to the gym a couple of times, and did not go crazy with my meals out..
But after just a few days with some exercise, and following the Nutrisystem meal plan, four pounds of that was gone. And I expect the last of my gain (and more) to be gone by my next weigh in..
I know I lost two weeks of good progress towards my goal, but you gotta live your life!.
Don't pass up an opportunity for a business dinner that might help your career!..
Amy you can do it girl!!.
Think of it as a HUGE CHALLENGE and kick it's butt!!!!!! Show it who's boss!!!.
Imagine how great your going to feel at the end of the week knowing that you beat it...treat yourself as well...a nice mani and or pedi!!!! A new shirt...something!!..
Thanks again everyone. Well today there was a lunch - had to be there. I passed on the giant piece of chocolate cake that was at my setting. Didn't even need to have it taken away. Ate the strawberry garnish and left it alone. Who am I???.
I had 3/4 of top sirloin with a little bit of sauce on it ( not sure exactly what it was) and salad. Not sure exactly where I am on calories for today. I am going to skip tonight's fat. Wondering if I should just have veg for dinner??..
It is a huge challenge and I'm getting through ok. I bought myself a little "sterling" reward last night. I was due for my 30 lb reward anyway! Shoulda bought it with the company AmEx due to all the dining out money they aren't spending on me! Ha!..
Week is just about over and I've been completely successful. I'm in a giant convention center and since I checked out of my hotel, had to spend lunch at the convention center. I just about begged a starbuck's vendor to go use their employee microwave to warm up my chili. She was sweet and did it. I pulled the special diet card. I have found that planning is the key to success.
I've been extreme this week about it. My husband laughed at me on the phone when I told him about all the effort to make sure I ate my food. He said, why don't you just grab a salad. Good idea, however I might not choose the salad when handed a menu. I might not have good dressing options.
I decided structure would be the key to my success this week and it has worked for me. A previous poster said that when I kicked this week's butt, I'd be proud. She's right. Looking forward to getting on scale at home tomorrow morning. Thanks for the support everyone!..
