I usually add rotle tomatoes and a little beef boullon. Or make a big batch and add some extra beef and green beans and such to create more of a vegetable soup, then divide it into individual containers and subtract the beef and veggies from my lean and green that day...
I add beef boulion and seasoning ( salt, pepper, basil) to mine. I have also found that cooking it on the stove instead of in the microwave is much better. It gets nice a thick..
Actually one of my favorites doing it that way...
I soak mine for an hour before cooking. I also add a half tsp of tomato boullion (Caldo de Tomate) found in the "ethnic food" section of my local Von's. It's awesome!..
I slow cook all of my packages at once and divide it up. I add diced tomatoes, salt and pepper, and Better than Bouillon beef stock. I really like it when it's cold outside (like today) and I'm in the mood for something heartier...
I add sherry and some chopped mushrooms and I cook it on the stove, too...
I add beef bullion with a chopped green onions. I prepare my soups on the stove at night...
Thankyou cathrynmeighan for asking about the beef stew!.
I actually like it when I put basil, garlic, and pepper in it before cooking. But the suggestions from everyone else sound so much better. This is one I do not like to take to school with me because it takes so long to prepare. But if I cook it ahead, then all I will have to do is heat it in the microwave and it's done!..
