Your question was: Want to add in Hormel Chili w/Beans during Nutrisystem?.
Argh, Birdie you are right!! Whoa! Thanks for catching that!! And, yes, that's not a lot of food...but maybe I could stretch it with 1/2 can of unsalted tomatoes and add in more beans or something...the chili flavoring is already there and I could just add to it...
If you have a Big Lots near you, check them out. I got some Nutrisystem Vegetarian Chili yesterday and see it a lot at various stores I visit. For a serving it is 210 calories, 1.5 gr fat, 19 gr protein...
The vegetarian or meat chili is good over a salad. If used for a lunch, skip the lunch protein or have a lunch entree for dinner and add a protein to one of them...
Yes, I really like the Nutrisystem chili! It's just that I found this chili on sale for $.69 a can and I didn't want to pass up a good deal. And I love chili over a salad!.
Thanks guys!..
Couldnt that serving be a lunch entree without adding protein? like it would be a dinner - sodium is high but once in a while probably OK - drink extra water?..
That would be 130 cals, 3.5 fat, 16 carbs, 3.5 fiber, and 8 protein. That would be OK for a lunch serving, wouldn't it? (although very small!)..
You could turn it into a gaint bowl of chili soup by adding a bottle of passata or some other unsalted tomato product...
These are the average stats for a lunch entree.
Lunches: 176 calories, 3.2 g fat, 27 g carb, 8.2 g protein, 493 mg sodium.
You'd be a little low on carbs and calories. I'd do as GypsyFe said and eat the serving size and count it as a lunch entree and dairy/protein serving. You could still bulk it up with tomatoes or something...
Thanks, guys! Yes, I was thinking about adding some unsalted canned tomatoes and maybe some peppers/onions and more spices, and making a nice bowl of chili without all that sodium! That and a salad would be a good lunch!..
