Your question was: What do I do with greek yogurt during Nutrisystem diet?.
Add your fruit serving to it...blueberries, strawberries, raisins, banana, OJ, etc...
I will use it just like sour cream in some of the entrees, as roo stated..
My absolute favorite way is a little sweetener and fruit. I cut up strawberries, and mix those in, then add some blueberries, stir and enjoy. It is so yummy and creamy, it tastes like I'm cheating. Very filling too! My friend, Vicki-licious calls it Sin In A Bowl. I have it once a day! You can change up the fruit, depending what is in season...
Use it to make smoothies or soft serve 'ice cream'..
OOO see I knew you ladies would come through for me! Thank you..
Adding about a T of sf pudding mix is wonderful too!..
Ooo this will defiantly be the way I eat it..
I've started using less lately, and I do eat it without the pudding mix and only fruit now too. So I think a person gradually adjust to the tangy lack of sweetness. My fave pudding flavor to mix in is either chocolate or cheesecake. Enjoy!..
I almost always buy the plain greek yogurt then just add a little sugar free vanilla syrup (the kind you can put in coffee ~ Torani's or DaVinci's). Lots of flavors of SF syrups so you can find one that you like. I also like the raspberry and caramel. You don't add any calories but get all the great benefits eating Greek style yogurt..
Here's my latest thing: a little sugar free cheesecake flavored pudding mix and some DaVinci German Chocolate Cake FF syrup....tastes like German Chocolate cheesecake!..
I buy the small containers (though I do like it) and put a few frozen without sugar or sweetener blackberries or blueberries on top. Than I put a packet of Truvia on top of it all, and that makes it sweet. Truvia is the only nonsugar sweetener I like...
I like to mix it in with regular yogurt to tone down the sweetness (yoplait tastes too sweet to me); it improves the flavor and adds some needed protein..
Also as stated before using in place of sour cream is great. Mix up the Black Beans & Rice soup with a little less water toss it on top of a bed of salad greens with some low fat cheese and fresh salsa and a healthy dollop of greek yogurt on top and you've got a great shell-less tostada...
